Police Detain 35 Congress, BJP Activists For Protesting CM's Visit

Bolangir, Oct 21: Bolangir police detained 35 Congress and BJP workers for protesting Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's visit to the district today.

Police raided different places of Bolangir town and detained them.

Heavy security has been put in place on account of the Chief Minister's visit. As many as 20 platoons of police force and many senior police officers have been deployed in the town to avoid any untoward incident.

Naveen is slated to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for slew of projects worth Rs 106 crore. He is also to inaugurate Bolangir Medical College and Hospital building and slated to address his party workers.
