Two suspected poachers arrested in Ganjam

Berhampur, Oct 25: Two suspected poachers were arrested by the forest department on wednesday from the Tiliki reserve jungle, 80 from here, and a country-made gun, a motorbike and a mobile phone were seized from them.

The arrested poachers have been identified as Silama Siba of Bhanjanagara and Pitabash Naik of Gayaganda, said divisional forest officer of Ghumusar (north) Bijay Ketan Acharya.

It was the second arrest made by the forest department in the past four days.

On Sunday, two people were arrested for electrocuting a wild boar at Balibagada village under Chhatrapur forest range.
