DGP in Koraput to review Kunduli gangrape investigation

Bhubaneswar, Oct 26: DGP Dr RP Sharma arrives in Koraput district to review progress of investigation being conducted into the Kunduli minor girl gang-rape case.

According to reports, five-to-six senior police officers would also accompany him to Koraput.

It may be noted that the Potangi police and the five-member Crime Branch team investigating into the case have not been able to identify the culprits who raped the Class IX girl on October 10.

Four youths in military dress allegedly took away the girl to a secluded plane and raped the girl while she was returning home at Sorishapadar from a photo studio at Kunduli Hatapadar.

The victim is still undergoing treatment at the Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital in Koraput.
