Jumbo herd destroys houses in Deogarh village

Deogarh, Oct 26: Villagers of Suguda gram panchayat in Deogarh district are in a state of fear now as a herd of elephant destroyed houses and crops last night.

According to information, a herd of jumbos entered the village in search of foods last night. They first ate standing paddy and then moved to the habitation. They destroyed many houses.

A team of forest officers have now rushed to the village and are trying to drive away them into the nearby jungle.
