Pipli cracker blast: Death toll rises to 3

Bhubaneswar: The death toll in the Pipli firecracker explosion incident rose to 3 with an injured succumbing to burn injuries on Friday morning.

According to reports, Siddhant Behera, who was undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital, succumbed early this morning.

It may be noted that an explosion incurred in the Srikantpur village under the Pipli police station in Puri district on October 15 in which one person, Sukant Behera, was killed on the spot and 10 others were injured. Later another injured succumbed at the SCB while Siddhant Behera died today.

Police have arrested a few persons and are still investigating into the incident.
