Dama Rout's security beefed up; more cops deployed

Bhubaneswar, Oct 27: Security has been beefed up at Odisha Agriculture Minister and senior BJD leader Dr. Damodar Rout's residence and adjoining areas in the wake of protests and agitation against him for his anti-women remarks. At least 5 platoons of police force have been deployed.

Police barricade has been set up on the route leading to his house. Heavy police presence can be seen between Capital Hospital and Sishu Bhavan square. Dr. Rout has been under fire from several quarters including his own party leaders for his 'Swami Chhadi, Anganwadi' remarks against BJP leader Lekhashree Samantsinghar.
