Karan Johar may not launch 'Baahubali' star Prabhas in Bollywood

New Delhi, Oct 27 : After the humongous success of Baahubali series, Prabhas have been receiving several offers from south film industry and Bollywood filmmakers as well.

Speculation were also making rounds that filmmaker Karan Johar, who was also the distributor of Baahubali 2 - The conclusion wanted to launch Prabhas under his production house.

If sources are to be believed, Prabhas demanded Rs 20 crore for his Bollywood debut which annoyed Karan Johar who was looking to launch him in the Hindi film industry.

A source said to DNA, 'But the price he asked for was staggering. While it was okay for him to ask and get his desired price - reportedly in the vicinity of Rs 20 crores - in Telugu cinema, it was unrealistic for Prabhas to expect that kind of remuneration in Bollywood. No South Indian actor, not even Rajinikanth, has that kind of commercial clout in Hindi cinema. Prabhas has clearly out-priced himself from Bollywood'.

He further added, 'After Baahubali and its sequel, Karan was keen to launch Prabhas in Hindi cinema. But on seeing the price he was asking, Karan has decided to abandon the idea of launching him'.

Karan Johar's latest tweet is also considered as a barb on the Baahubali star.

Currently, Prabhas is busy shooting for his upcoming flick 'Saaho' which also feature Shraddha Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
