GRS Workers in Odisha to get pay hike: Pradeep Maharathy

Bhubaneswar, Oct 28: Hours after BJP and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan intervened to take up the case of GRS (Gram Rozgar Sevaks) in the state, Panchayatiraj Minister Pradeep Maharathy has announced that they would get a pay hike of Rs 2,000 soon.

Currently, the GRS are getting Rs 5,000 per month. After pay revision, they would get Rs 7,000 per month.

Maharathy also confirmed that the GRS would get monetary incentives of around Rs 1,800 per month. In total, they will get Rs 8,800 per month.

The BJD leader accused Dharmendra Pradhan of inciting the GRS to fulfill his own political ambitions. He also dared the P&NG Minister to make GRS' jobs permanent through central intervention.
