New Delhi, Oct 30: The health conditions of the separated twins, Jaga and Kalia, is weak but stable, said noted neurosurgeon Dr Ashok Mohapatra, who guided the major head-separation operation conducted at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on October 26.
According to reports, Jaga is opening eyes and shaking limbs sometimes but Kalia is yet show any sign of getting out of sense even as 72 hours have already passed.
Mohaptra said condition of both the kids is weak as a major operation conducted on them. They are in ventilator and doctors are still keeping 24-hour watch on them.
It may be noted that Jaga and Kalia, born to a couple in Kalahandi district in Odisha, were conjoined by heads. A team of 40 doctors separated them and subsequently conducted plastic surgery on their wounds on October 26. The State Government has provided financial support for the rare operation.
