BJP observes 12-Hour Bandh in Subarnapur, Normal Life Hit

Sonepur, Nov 1: Normal life came to a standstill in Subarnapur since this morning as the BJP began holding 12-hour bandh in protest against worsening health services in the district.

The BJP is observing the bandh in protest against the district authorities' and the State Government's lackadaisical attitude in resolving the already worsening health services in the district headquarters hospital (DHH), according to reports.

Shops and bazaars have remained closed in the town. Similarly, vehicular movement has been fully disrupted due to the bandh. The saffron party activists have blocked the road by burning tyres at different places. Hundreds of trucks and other vehicles have now stranded on the roadsides outside the town.

Meanwhile, adequate police personnel have been deployed to avert any possible untoward incidents. The bandh started at 6 am will continue till 6 pm.
