Farmer trampled to death in Dhenkanal village

Dhenkanal, Nov 3: In another incident of man-animal conflict, a farmer was trampled to death by an elephant in Kauniriapal village under the Dhenkanal Sadar police station early this morning.

The deceased farmer was identified as Akshaya Mohanty.

According to reports, Akshaya was going to his farm land to see his crops early in the morning when a pachyderm came all of a sudden and trampled him to death on the village end. Later, some villagers saw Akhaya's body lying on the land and informed forest and police officials.
