BJD women wing stages stir before Raj Bhavan against LPG price hike

Bhubaneswar, Nov 3: Women activists of the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today hit the streets protesting against the recent price hike of the cooking gas (LPG) by the Narendra Modi Government. As part of the protest, activists of the Biju Mahila Janata Dal (BMJD), the women wing of the BJD stage demonstration near Raj Bhavan decrying the Centre's decision.

The Price of Non-subsidised cooking gas (LPG) and Subsidised LPG have been hiked by 93 rupees and 4 rupees 50 paise per cylinder respectively from Wednesday.

In a fourth hike since August 2017, the oil companies have yesterday increased the LPG prices by Rs 4.50 on subsidised cylinders and Rs 93 on non-subsidised cylinders.
