Farmer commits suicide in Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal, Nov 3: With instances of distressed farmers setting their pest-infested crops on fire and committing suicides allegedly over loan burden and crop loss on the rise, one more farmer committed suicide under similar circumstances in Dhenkanal district today.

He was identified as Basu Hembram of Lembupala village under Kamakhyanagar block in the district.

The family members alleged that crop loss and debt burden forced Hembram to take the extreme step.
