Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik convenes meeting of agriculture cabinet today

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will convene an urgent Agriculture Cabinet meeting today following the growing cases of paddy crop loss, burning of crops in the field by farmers and also rising cases of farmer suicide in the state.

Patnaik  will convene the meeting at 5:30 pm in the State Secretariat. Agriculture Minister Damodar Rout, Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan and secretaries of the concerned department are slated to attend the meeting.

According to reports, the meeting will discuss various issues relating to Agriculture and farmers including crop situation and pest attack.
