Miscreants set ablaze 4 bikes, 2 cycles in a house in Unit VII

Bhubaneswar: Miscreants burnt four motorcycles, two cycles and furniture of a house in Unit VII area late on last night. A two-and-a-half-month-old child was rescued from the intense smokes emanated due to the fire.

According to information, miscreants put the items on fire in the yard of the Quarter No F-57 in the GA Department Colony in Suryanagar. The quarter belongs to Pravakar Patra, a driver of the GA Department.

Meanwhile, Pravaker's family members alleged that son of a neighbour family along with his friends have has committed the offence to avenge their repeated warnings against DJ playing.

'The son of our neighbouring family has a DJ set which he along with others plays always. We have children studying in Matric and graduation classes. We had requested him umpteen times not to play DJ during their study hours. To avenge this, he might have committed the office,' said a family member of Prabhakar.

The Capital Police have started investigation on the basis of a complaint filed by Pravakar Patra, reports said.
