Odisha DGP reviews security preparedness for WHL-2017

Bhubaneswar: Odisha DGP Dr. RP Sharma on Tuesday reviewed the security preparedness for the upcoming Men's Hockey World League-2017 (WHL) slated to be held at Kalinga Stadium here from December 1.

Sharma took stock of the security preparedness for the international sports event at the stadium in the presence of Odisha Sports & Youth Services Director R. Vineel Krishna, Police Commissioner Y.B Khurania, Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi and other officials.

Speaking to the reporters, the DGP said, 'The arrival of the teams for the Men's Hockey World League-2017 will begin from November 22. We will look into the entire security arrangements from their arrival to departure. Security will be beefed up at all the hotels where the players will be lodged.'
