Mary Kom clinches historic Gold in Asian Women's Boxing championship

New Delhi: Five-time world champion and Olympic bronze medalist MC Mary Kom (48kg), clinched her 5th Gold medal in the Asian Women's Boxing championships on Wednesday.

'Magnificent Mary' as she is called by her admirers, winning a fiercely-contested summit clash in her comeback trail.

Contesting against North Korea's Kim Hyang Mi, the champion boxer prevailed in a unanimous 5-0 verdict to add another accolade to her already crowded cabinet.

This is Mary Kom's first international gold medal since the 2014 Asian Games and her first medal in over a year.
