Olive Ridley mass nesting begins early in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Olive Ridley sea turtles have started mass nesting near Konark beach and the mouth of Rushikulya River, in the early hours on Wednesday.

The rare sea turtles which generally arrive in December have arrived early this year.

As the weather is very conducive this year, turtles are likely to arrive in large numbers this year, informed by Konark Forest Range Officials.
