One NISER student drowns in Puri sea; another missing

Puri: A student Odisha-based National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) today drowned to death and another went missing while taking bath in sea near Beleswar in Puri district today.

The deceased was identified as Pranjal from Hyderabad. While police recovered the body of Pranjal another student Jitan is still missing.

According to sources, a group of eight students of NISER had visited Puri today in bikes. Both Jitan and Pranjal drowned in the sea while taking bath near Beleswar. Search operation is on to trace Jitan.

Later, the body of Pranjal was recovered.
