Ghatagaon police nab hardcore criminal

Ghatagoan: Police arrested a most wanted criminal, Gobinda Giri, following an exchange of fire with him and his associates in Mashinabili jungle in Keonjhar district this morning.

Two aides of Gobinda managed to flee from the spot.

According to reports, a team of Ghatagaon police conducted raids on Gobinda's hideout in the Mashinabili jungle. Gobinda and his aides opened fire at the police. Though exchange of fire continued between them, police managed to nab Gobinda unhurt.

The police seized a gun, a dagger, a bike and a mobile from Gobinda, who has at least 15 criminal cases pending against him at different police stations in the district.
