Another elephant found dead in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: Death of elephants due to various reasons has worried animal lovers and become a major cause of concern for sustenance of ecosystem of the State.

A day after an elephant baby was found dead in Sundargarh district, the decomposed body of a female elephant was found lying in a jungle in Dumuria village under Keonjhar district early this morning.

According to reports, villagers first located the jumbo and informed forest officials.

After primary investigation, forest officials suspected that the pachyderm died of diseases seven to eight days ago. Further investigations are on, said officials.
