Golamunda Agriculture Officer in Vigilance net

Bhawanipatna: Acting on the allegations of amassing assets disproportionate to his known source of income by Kalahandi district's Golamunda block Agriculture Officer Nihar Ranjan Nayak, Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday morning started conducting raids on his office room and houses at different places to detect assets in his and his family members' names.

According to reports, teams of Vigilance officers conducted simultaneous searches in Nayak's office room at Golamunda and house at Dharmagarh and other places on the strength of a search warrant issued by a court in his name.

The raids would continue till afternoon when information regarding detected assets would be known, said official sources.
