Odisha to get Cyber Forensic Laboratory soon

Bhubaneswar: Odisha will get its own cyber forensic laboratory soon as the Crime Branch Additional Director General (ADG) of police Santosh Upadhyay on Tuesday said that the modern cyber forensic science laboratory of the Crime Branch will be inaugurated on November 22.

While attending the two-day State Level Specialised Training Course on Cyber Crime Investigation and Forensics in Cuttack, Upadhyay revealed that the proposed new lab is equipped with facilities to carry out ballistic examination of firearms, besides chemical, physical and biological analysis of samples collected from a crime spot and crime branch also has plans to upgrade the infrastructure at state forensic science laboratory by March 2018.
