Rains continues to hit normal life in State

Bhubaneswar: Rains continues occurring in coastal and interior parts of the State due to the impact of low pressure that has now centred at 210 km from Gopalpur coast. Due to incessant rains, normal life has disrupted from Wednesday morning.

The low pressure formed in the Bay of Bengal has turned into a depression and is moving towards Odisha in north and north-east direction, according to Meteorological regional office here. Besides rains, wind is currently blowing at 10 km per hour.

The depression was at western-central Bay of Bengal near Andhra Pradesh coast, which is 380 km to south and south-western direction of Gopalpur at around 5.30 pm on Wednesday.

Due to depression, heavy rains will occur in coastal parts and some interior parts of Odisha during the next 24 hours. The low pressure will be weakened gradually from November 17.
