Farmer ends life over crop loss in Ganjam Dist

Berhampur: Farmer suicides over pest menace and crop failure continue in Odisha as yet another farmer from Ganjam district ended his life over crop loss.

The deceased farmer has been identified as Farmer Rajendra Bhuyan of Baulajholi village under Kukudakhandi block of Ganjam district who had allegedly commited suicide by consuming poison.

Reportedly, following the crop loss and loan burden, he was under severe mental stress and has taken this step.
