Another farmer ends life in Sambalpur

Sambalpur: Yet another farmer reportedly committed suicide due to crop loss and loan burden in Sambalpur district early this morning.

According to reports, Kahnu Munda, a farmer of Rasanpur village Maneswar block in the district consumed poison last evening and had been undergoing treatment at the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) since then. He succumbed early this morning.

According to family members, Kahnu was under tremendous mental pressure he had not repaid loans he had taken from different sources for cultivation. He couldn't repay loans as his all crops lost, said family members.
