Sheep killing continues in Niali, 14 more sheep killed

Cuttack: Four days after three sheep were killed and two injured by an unidentified animal in Niali area in Cuttack district, atleast 14 sheep were on Tuesday found dead in Kantapada area in the region.

Carcass of Seven sheep of Gurubari Behera, three sheep of Prashant Rout and four sheep of Banamali Mohanty at Nadikulasahi and Nuagan village under Adaspu in the district were found at their respected cattle shed, sources said.

The incident has triggered severe displeasure among people of Niali, especially the sheep farmers. 

Notably, three sheep of Govardhan Swain in Gobindapada village were killed by the mysterious animal. The animal also injured one of his sheep and another of Pabani Behera of Dihabansahi on the night of November 18.
