Minor boy loses legs after fall from train in Rourkela

Bhubaneswar: A 12-year-old boy lost his legs after he fell off a moving train at the Rourkela railway station today morning.

According to sources, the incident took place when the victim Anil Benua attempted to get down from an express train that was leaving the station, sources said. The boy is a rag picker.

He lost balance and came under the wheels of the last carriage, the sources said.
Passengers rushed to his help and the train was stopped. He was rescued and rushed to the hospital nearby.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this connection and started an investigation.
