Sura Mishra released on SC bail, reaches Trahiachyuta Ashram

Bhubaneswar: Sura Baba alias Surendra Nath Mishra, the chief of the Trahiachyuta Ashram, has finally returned to his Ashram at Jhiinti Sasan on the outskirts of the capital city.

According to information, Sura was released from jail custody after availing conditional bail from the Supreme Court. The apex court had granted bail to him on November 28, 2017.

It may be noted that Sura was arrested on August 30, 2015 on charges of land fraud and encroachment of Government land and many other offences by the Commissionerate police. Irate locals had torched his Ashram on the day.

Besides Sura, his son Trilochan had also been arrested.

Sura reached the Ashram late in the Friday evening, according to reports.
