Ex-Sarpanch, 2 aides beaten severely in kangaroo court

Malkangiri: Three persons, including a former Sarpanch, were reportedly beaten severely by Maoists in a kangaroo court held in a jungle near Panasput village under Chitrakonda area in Malkangiri district early this morning.

The victims include former Sarapanch Arjun Hantal and his two associates of Panaspur. Earlier, Maoists had warned Arjun in a kangaroo court not to act against them.

On Sunday evening, they took Arjun and his two associates to a kangaroo court and beat them severely accusing them of not obeying their earlier warnings. After beating them severely, Maoists left them in the village end.
