Another farmer ends life in Bargarh

Bhubaneswar: It seems that there is no let up in occurrence of farmer suicides in Bargarh district in Odisha which has been witnessing such a case now and then during the last two months. 

Another such incident has come to the fore in Kharasali village under Bhatli police station this morning. A farmer, identified a Rohit Bhue, reportedly consumed poison in his own agriculture field and died, reports said.

Rohit had lost all his crops in the recent 'Chakada' insect attack. He had taken loans of thousands of rupees from different sources to grow crops. After losing crops, he was under pressure, said reports quoting family members.

Rohit was found growling in pain in his farm land by some co-villagers. He was soon rushed to a hospital where he died.
