Tribal Man Suspected Of Being Police Informer Gunned Down By Maoists

Malkangiri: A tribal man was shot dead by Maoists in Malkangiri district on Monday night, after they allegedly suspected him of being a police informer.

Muinan Kabasi, a resident of Mahupadar near Mathili. Villagers said some armed extremists barged into his house last night and dragged him out of his dwelling suspecting him to be police informer. Later, they took him to a forest near Golipadar and killed him.
 
On December 9, red rebels had killed one Sitaram Khemudu of Ralegada in Chitrakonda area of the district. The rebels had committed the crime as they believed that Sitaram was operating as a police informer, police had informed.
