Mysterious animal kills 16 more sheep in Niali

Niali: It seems that there is no let up in killing of sheep by unidentified animals in villages under Niali block in Cuttack district with.

After a few days' break, as many as 16 numbers of sheep were found killed in Badakorkora village under Nuagaon gram panchayat under the block early this morning. Besides, four other animals of the category found severely injured in the village.

Of the dead sheep, thirteen belong to Promod Swain and three to Ugresena Swain of the village. Villagers are a worried lot now as forest officials have not risen in support of the locals. 

It may be noted that reports of killing of sheep by mysterious creatures have been reported many times during the last two months. Last year, more than 400 rams and ewes were killed.
