Cold wave to continue in Odisha till Dec 25

Bhubaneswar: The state will continue to experience cold wave till December 25 and the weather will be dry in the next five days, according to Bhubaneswar MeT.

On Wednesday night, the mercury dropped below 10 degree Celsius in 10 places in the state. Phulbani recorded the minimum temperature 5 degree Celsius, Daringbadi of Kandhamal district was recorded 5.5 degree Celsius while Hirakud recorded 7.9 degree Celsius and Koraput 8 degree Celsius.

The IMD predicted shallow to moderate fog at isolated places over Odisha during next two days.

The cold wave is at its peak in Daringbadi, Kandhamal and nearby areas where people suffer more. Bhawanipatna, Sundargarh, Koraput, Sonepur, Hirakud, Angul and Jharsuguda are also experiencing cold wave.
