CM entering like witch, curing being witch-doctor: BJP

Bhubaneswar: Commenting on the dismissal of Agriculture and Farmer Empowerment Minister Dr Damodar Rout from the State Council of Ministers, the BJP said the Chief Minister is entering the body being a witch and making it free being a witch-doctor.

'It is a suspicion whether expelling Minister Damodar Rout is Chief Minister's commitment or a political gain for him,' said BJP vice-president Sameer Mohanty.

Earlier, Damababu had given derogatory remarks against women's dignity and prestige. The Chief Minister remained silent when Damababu was adding lime to wound of families of farmers who committed suicide, he alleged.

Mohanty said it is not a new thing for BJD Ministers to pass derogatory remarks.

The Chief Minister might have known the (derogatory) languages that had been used by Minister Pradeep Maharathy at a meeting at Kanika and MLA Debashish Samantaray.
He has made Prasant Nanda as party's spokesperson whom he had expelled from the Ministry once. Hence, the Chief Minister has not taken this decision as a commitment rather to protect his image, Mohanty alleged further.
