8 PLFI members arrested in Bisra, ammunition seized

Rourkela: The Bisra police in Rourkela police district arrested eight accused, including the most wanted miscreants Sudam Singh and Chandrabhanu Sigh, in the Mitakunduli firing incident that occurred on June 11, 2017.

Sudam, a supari killer, along with his associates had allegedly fired at one Dinesh Mundari over a land dispute. Sudam had allegedly taken Rs 1.40 lakh supari for attacking Dinesh. 

They had fired two rounds of bullets at Dinesh when he was sitting at his shop. Though he received bullet injuries in his leg and chest, he was luckily saved following treatment.

The Bisra police have been searching for the miscreants since then. The police arrested them from a jungle near Bisra.

Most wanted Sudam and Chandrabhanu have many criminal cases pending against them at various police stations in Jharkhand and Odisha. Six others were yet to be identified.

All the arrested accused would be forwarded to court soon, said police.
