4 dead in Truck-Tata magic head-on collision

Jajpur: In a tragic mishap, four persons were killed and five others sustained critical injuries as a vegetable-laden Tata Magic, in which were travelling, collided head on with a 10-wheeler at Balisahi Chhack on National Highway-53 under Jenapur police station in Jajpur district early this morning.

Three of the injured have been shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as they were critically injured.

According to reports, vegetable traders were going in the Tata Magic to Duburi haat when the van hit with the truck coming from Kalinganagar side.

Police have reached the spot and seized the two vehicles. Adequate security personnel have been deployed to avoid any untoward incident there.
