Naveen inaugurates many health infra projects in Cuttack

Cutatck: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today visited Cuttack and inaugurated a slew of health-related infrastructure and a few other welfare projects amid protests by opposition BJP.

The CM opened urban community health centre (UCHC) constructed at Markat Nagar. The health centre has been constructed at a cost of Rs 6 crore to provide better healthcare facilities to the urban poor, particularly slum dwellers.

Patnaik inaugurated a state-of-the-art auditorium having a seating capacity of 1,500 in the SCM Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack premises. The auditorium was constructed at cost of Rs 9 crore.

This apart, the CM also inaugurated BSc Nursing college building constructed at a cost of Rs 16 crore and also a hostel for the nursing students.

Patnaik also laid the foundation stone for LED street light project being undertaken by the State Government and the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC). A total of Rs 10.83 crore will be spent for the purpose.

All the 59 wards of the CMC will be covered under LED street light scheme.
Ahead of the CM's visit, police detained many BJP workers for protesting the CM.
