Thousands congregate at Lingaraj temple

Bhubaneswar: Thousands of devotees thronged the Shree Lingaraj Temple here to have darshan of Lord Lingaraj on the occasion of the New Year, January 1, 2018.

According to an official of the temple management committee, the temple opened at 5 pm. As it is a Monday and New Year, thousands of devotees have lined up to have darshan of the Lord since early morning.

Adequate police personnel have been deployed inside and outside the temple to control the visitors and to ensure smooth darshan of the Lord in the 11th Century Shiva shrine.
