Body of martyred Odia Jawan Pradeep Panda to reach village today

Bhubaneswar: The body of martyred Odia Jawan Pradeep Panda would reach his native Liploi village in Rajgangpur of Sundergarh district today.

Pradeep and four other Jawans were martyred during a fierce gun battle with terrorists at the CRPF training centre at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. The body was recovered only on Monday.

Pradeep was working as CRPF Jawan since 2006. He had got many awards for his best performances. Finally, he sacrificed his life for the country.

Last time, Pradeep had talked to his wife Meenati on Saturday (December 30) when he promised to come home sometime in January. Pradeep's elder brother is also serving country as an Army Jawan.

The body would reach Rajgangpur by a special aircraft. He would be given a joint gun salute by CRPF and police personnel.

Villagers are now waiting for the body of their beloved son to reach them.
