Martyr Pradeep Panda given guard of honour at native place

Rajgangpur: Martyred CRPF jawan Pradeep Panda who was killed in a fierce gun battle with militants in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, was given guard of honour after his body reached Rajgangpur stadium, the native place of the jawan, today.

A massive crowd had gathered to witness the event. The area reverberated with 'Saheed Pradeep Panda, Amar Rahe' slogans as over 10,000 people gathered at the stadium to pay last respects to the jawan.

Rourkela MLA Dillip Ray, Sundergarh Collector Vineet Bharadwaj, SP Pinak Mishra, CRPF DIG Birendra Sharma and other top police officials also paid floral tributes to the martyr.

The body will be taken to his village Liploi where his last rites will be performed after a gun salute.
