Nandankanan bus mishap injured dies, family accuse zoo authorities

Bhubaneswar: One of the three persons, who were injured for a lion safari bus met with an accident inside the Nandankanan Zoological Park on January 3, succumbed to his injuries. He was identified as Amiya Ranjan Bharimalla of Khurda region.

Meanwhile, family members of Amiya have lodged a complaint against the Nandankanan zoo authorities alleging that that the accident occurred and Amiya died due to sheer negligence of the authorities.

It may be noted that as many as three persons were injured after a bus carrying tourists inside the Lion Safari of Nandankanan Zoological Park met with an accident on last Wednesday. The all injured were rushed to a private hospital for treatment.

The tourists were wounded inside the bus after it skidded off the track and went out of control inside Lion Safari in the zoo this afternoon.
