Andhra eyes Odisha villages: Koraput Collector submits report to Govt

Bhubaneswar: A day after the officials of Andhra Pradesh were seen distributing blankets and other materials to the tribals of Kotia gram panchayat in Pottangi block in Koraput district by organising a special event on Tuesday, Koraput district Collector Anupam Shah today submitted a report to the Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi today.

Earlier on Tuesday, Koraput Sub-Collector Kurtibash Rout on being directed by the Collector conducted the probe and submitted the report to the latter.

Vizianagaram Collector and SP attended a programme named Janambhumi at Kotia. The officials of the neighbouring State distributed blankets among the villagers under the scheme, sources said.

On being informed, Koraput Collector sent a team of officials led by Koraput Sub-Collector to the spot for inquiry.

On the other hand the Koraput district administration is keeping a strict vigil on the bordering villages to avert any attempt of the neighbouring State to enter village to lure tribals.
