Junior engineer held taking bribe

Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths today arrested an Electrical junior engineer in Binika block in Subarnpur district.

Chitaranjan Dehury was caught red handed by the anti-corruption wing officials while the former was taking Rs 8,000 bribe.

Acting on a complaint, the anti-graft body sleuths laid a trap to nab Dehury red handed.

Accordingly the complainant was asked to give the bribe money to the JE. When the accused JE was accepting the money, the altered Vigilance sleuths caught the former red handed and later arrested him.

Meanwhile, the anti-corruption wing officials were searching the house and office of the JE to assess his properties. He will be forwarded to the court today.
