Encounter in Pipili; two hadcore criminals injured

Puri: Two hardcore criminals were injured and nabbed following an encounter at Kalipatna under the Pipili police station in Puri district early this morning.

The two criminals were identified as Subash Pradhan and Amar Solanki. They have many criminal cases pending against them at different police stations in Puri district.

According to reports, the Pipili police, acting on a tip-off, followed the two criminals to nab them. However, the criminals fired at the police and tried to escape. Police soon fired back at them in which they received bullet injuries.

They police nabbed them and seized pistols and live bullets from them. The two have been put in a hospital for treatment, reports said.
