Republic TV survey predicts BJP to gain in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: National TV Channel Republic TV has predicted yet another landslide win for Narendra Modi-led NDA if Lok Sabha polls are held today, it has given an edge to BJP over BJD in Odisha.

According to the survey, BJP would win 13 out of 21 Lok Sabha seats. In 2014, the party could win just 1 Lok Sabha seat when Jual Oram emerged victorious from Sundargarh.

The survey further claims that BJD's seat count would decline to 8 from the existing 20, while Congress would fail to open its account yet again.

The national approval ratings conducted by the channel with the help of C Voter said that BJP will gain by 39.0% vs 26.8 in 2014; UPA to dip to 17.2% vs 21.5% in 2014; BJD to dip to 33.4% vs 44.1% in 2014.

The BJP-led NDA would win 335 seats if elections are held today, while Congress-led UPA could win just 89 seats, the survey says.
