Contrasting fortunes for Odisha hockey teams

Bhubaneswar: Hockey Odisha registered a comprehensive 4-1 victory against Hockey Bihar in a Pool D encounter on the third day of the VIIIth Sub-Junior Men's National hockey championship (Division A) at Saifai, Uttar Pradesh Friday.

Odisha started the match on a positive note as they dominated the proceedings right from the start with Sumit Toppo giving them the lead in the 26th minute. The second half was more interesting as Orissa pumped in three more goals to take the match away from Bihar. Niranjan Kindo (44th), Laban Lugun (47th) and Rohit Beck (50th) were the scorers. However, Bihar pulled one back in the 58th minute through Turtan Minz, but it was too late by then.
