Bhubaneswar: Odisha government on Saturday decided to set up Capital Region Transport
Service (CRTS) to provide bus service to people in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Puri and Konark.
The new transport service will be formed by merging the Cuttack Transport Service with Bhubaneswar -Puri Transport service since a proposal in this regard was approved by
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
A recommendation was made to form a Board of Directors for the new transport service
under the Chairmanship of Development Commissioner.
The Secretaries of Home, Commerce and Transport, Housing and Urban Development,
Transport Commissioner, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner, IGP (Central range)
Revenue Divisional Commisioner (Central ), Chairpersons of BDA, CDA, PKDA,CEO
Bhubaneswar Smart City project and three members with experience in transport service
will be members of the Board.
The organization will have a paid up capital of Rs one crore. -UNI
