Maoist camp busted, RK manages to flee

Malkangiri: A Maoist camp was busted by the security personnel near Tikarpadu under Jodamba Panchayat of the district on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off, Odisha SOG, DVF and Andhra Pradesh Grey Hounds conducted a joint raid on a camp of the red rebels following which a heavy exchange of fire took place between police and the Maoists. However, more than 50 Maoists, including leader RK escaped from the spot, said sources.

Police seized huge stash of arms and ammunition from the site, added the sources.
