Congress banks on workers for wooing voters: Pranay

Bijepur:The Congress stands on its ideology and policies and is banking on its own registered workers, who know basic problems of Bijuepur, said Congress candidate Pranay Sahu, who is in fray for the February 24 Bijepur by-poll, today.

'Film heroes and heroines don't know problems of our localities. We are a age-old party having a large number of workers and supporters. We have banked on our workers for garnering voters. I will certainly win by a huge margin of voters,' he said.

It may be noted the Congress began its campaigning two days back. Leaders like Niranjan Patnaik, Srikant Jena and Pradeep Majhi have campaigned for him.

On the other hand, the BJP and the BJD have intensified their respective campaigns while only five days are left for the campaign trail to end on February 22.

Today, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram and noted singer Pinky Pradhan are scheduled to campaign at different places for BJP candidate Ashok Panigrahi.

Reports said, cine stars land senior BJD leaders will continue campaigning at different places for party candidate Rita Sahu.
